perfect fitting for baby bjorn crib, but not a necessity. i purchased both the crib and the sheet at the same time, but the crib arrived one day earlier. since i had immediate international travel within days, i was eager to try my little one in the crib, in case any adapting time was needed. i used a regular crib fitted sheet and tucked the excess material under the mattress. the mattress fit so tightly, i don’t think that my little one would notice that lack of perfect fit in the sheet. i could have lived without this extra purchase. not necessary, unless your little one has a tendency to pull and tug out of curiosity or destruction.

I’m writing this review without having purchased or used the Baby Bjorn Travel Crib Light Fitted Sheet. I just wanted people looking at this product to know that it is not necessary for use with the Baby Bjorn Travel Crib Light (BBTCL).

I purchased a BBTCL and have used my standard crib sheets just fine on it – the ones that work best are the ones that are tighter on my standard crib mattress. I don’t have to use extra clips or fasteners to get it to stay tight, and the BBTCL mattress pushes down tightly enough to keep the sheet in place.

I would most definitely NOT spend on this sheet, that is a ridiculous price.

When my husband and I started looking for crib mattresses while I was pregnant with our twins we had NO idea what to look for. Thankfully, like always I started doing searches on Amazon to read reviews and that is where I learned about not having a mattress that was too soft. After much searching & reading we picked out 3 we liked best, one cheaper than this, one considerably more expensive & this one.

The cheaper mattress was TOO soft & did not have many springs. My husband thought it seemed like a fine mattress to buy UNTIL I was easily able to take my hand and squeeze the sides of the mattress together, top touching bottom. Then I explained to him that once a baby is old enough to stand their weight would crush the mattress just like I did and that is unsafe. Plus babies are supposed to sleep on a firm surface, not soft. After my demonstration my husband understood.

Next we did the same test with this mattress. You could not easily squeeze the sides of the mattress together, even my husband tried. It had a lot more springs than the cheaper one, it was firm but also comfortable. We also liked that it is basically water proof. And the plastic does not make any noise, nor is it loose at all.

We stopped our search there and purchased 2 of these. My girls are almost 1 year and their beds show no signs of wear, no indentations, nothing wrong at all. My girls even hold onto the sides of their crib and jump and the mattress does not sink at all even when they jump at the very edge. My girls sleep all night in these so they must be comfortable.

I don’t think you need to spend an arm and a leg in order to get a safe & comfortable mattress. Don’t get one so cheap that it is flimsy, doesn’t have many springs, that you can easily squeeze the sides together or that the plastic covering is loose. This one is perfect.

It also fits perfectly snug in my girls cribs and every sheet we’ve used fits perfectly.

Picking a mattress is a difficult decision, it is hard to know if one will be the right one,

when you look for a mattress for your self you can just lay on them and if they feel right you know, with a crib mattress your baby wont tell you if it feels right, for one they dont know and they cant tell you with words..

Most importantly when looking for a crib mattress you want something that is safe (not too soft, or too small) and will hold up until they move on to a big kid bed.

We picked/ and like this mattress for a couple reasons:

It fits our Crib (Davinci “Parker” 4-1)like a glove, no space between.. so its safe. It has a waterproof nonallergic top layers so you don’t have to worry about “fluids” absorbing and it doesnt make a plastic noise when you push down on it, it was firm enough but still a little soft to comfort baby, also has a 15 year warranty.

I have yet to see a bad review for this mattress, and I personally recommend this mattress to my friends.

Before ordering this mattress cover, I was concerned that it wouldn’t fit the DaVinci Crescent 50 coil mattress because the mattress is 5.5″ thick, but it fits perfectly. I’ve also found that the Koala Baby portable crib sheets sold at Babies R Us fit the mattress without a problem, and they’re very affordable (- each).

This mattress pad fits my Graco pack n play perfectly. I especially like how it makes the pack n play seem a little more comfortable without compromising safety. It has 2 layers, the cotton quilted layer and a separate VINYL waterproof layer. I would have preferred a polyurethane waterproofing, but this mattress pad does a good job and appears to be of good quality so far.

THIS CRIB IS AMAZING! I know that it is soooo difficult to take another person’s word for it, but trust me – you won’t be disappointed! I was really apprehensive about spending so much money on a travel crib. We are currently living on student loan money, so I actually used birthday money to purchase this…it is the best birthday money I have EVER spent! I did so much research on travel cribs because I want to get my money’s worth. We didn’t want our pack n play anymore because we are adding to our family this year and will have three kids now – the pack n play takes up WAY too much room in the trunk, so I wanted something smaller. Plus, the pack n play is ridiculous with it’s cardboard mattress and bar right in the middle of their back. Here’s why you need this crib:

Weight, Size & Mattress:

When they say light – they mean it! It is so easy to lift and carry, which is a big deal because I’m pregnant and on the wimpy side. The pack n play is near impossible for me to get around. Also, the way in which it folds up is amazing! It fits into a brief-case shaped bag which is VERY durable and strong and fits much more easily when trying to pack for a trip. One of my favorite things is the mattress! It is so comfortable! It is actually soft (not too soft for newborns though). Definitely beats ANY pack n play mattress 100 to 1. By the way – I looked everywhere to find out if they sold sheets that fit the mattress because it is not the same size as a pack n play. When I called Baby Swede, they said that any standard crib sheet would fit. You could even just line it with a blanket if you wanted to. They should sell you a secondary mattress cover in case you need to switch them in the middle of the night, but you can probably get an extra one from the manufacturer. Another thing about the mattress size – it is 4″ longer than a pack n play and only 1″ shorter in width. Since your children grow length wise, this is ideal! My daughter is only two and already practically hits both ends in the pack n play…and she’s petite.

Set up & Take Down:

I know it sounds crazy, but the ease of use with this crib is what you will fall in love with! I know that all of you have struggled with your pack n plays in the past (or maybe a friend’s crib) in trying to figure out if you have to push the center down first – no! lock the rails first – no! arghh! Here’s what you do with this: take it out of the bag; unfold it (it will be folded in half); then simply turn it over and watch the legs and everything else just fall into place! Simply insert the mattress. It is so light, you do it all while standing up – no more back aches from bending over and reaching to lock rails and push down buttons. I had watched the video online so many times, I didn’t even have to read the instructions to figure it out. It literally took me 10 seconds to get it up. As if that wasn’t great enough! For take down all you do is turn the crib over (after removing the mattress) and pull each leg out and fold it in towards the center. Then you simply fold the crib in half and you’re done. This took me 30 seconds. No kidding!

Stability:

This was what I was MOST skeptical about. How on earth could something so light be sturdy enough? Baby Bjorn tested this specifically for stability. My 2 year old toddler cannot tip it over when standing inside the crib and she can’t even tip it over from the outside when it’s completely empty (let alone if there is another child on the inside). The tapered shape of it is what gives it such strength. You will NOT believe your eyes!

Comparison:

The only other crib that is this type of style is the Phil & Teds travel crib. DO NOT BUY IT! It IS 0 cheaper (which really drew my attention), BUT it does not even compare! It is meant for outside play such as the beach or park. Read the reviews – it has steaks to drive into the corners…does your house have sand floors? Because of this, it is completely unstable on solid ground (like hotel rooms). It is flimsy and is easily tipped over from inside and out. If you need something for a lot of travel (or even a little) – the Baby Bjorn is the one you want. There is a reason that it costs more – and it’s worth it! By far, the BEST baby purchase I have ever made!

Where to buy:

I researched this long and hard when I decided to go with it. Ebay RARELY has them listed, and when they are, they’re no cheaper. I did find it for 9 and up, however any place that had it a little cheaper did not have it in stock (it’s out everywhere!). BUT strollerdepot.com has them in stock and they ship immediately (I paid 5 – no tax). PLUS – they have FREE SHIPPING! Mine only took two days to get here (Utah to California) You really can’t beat that. I know it’s a big purchase, but it IS an item that will be used over and over again…about as much as a stroller for us. And that’s about what we paid for a stroller. You’ll love it!

This travel crib is amazing! We tried setting up a pack-n-play, what a fiasco. The baby was screaming because he was so tired and I just couldn’t move fast enough setting the dumb thing up. The Baby Bjorn Travel Crib on the other hand sets up in under 10 seconds – really. I was absolutely amazed. It took very few brain cells to set up – like maybe 11 or in other works it’s extremely simple to set up. I’ll admit it, I didn’t even look at the instructions because it’s so intuitive. Try that with a pack-n-play that needs certain parts clicked in before others, etc.

It takes up very little space in the car (the pack-n-play took up at least double the space). And you can take it on an airplane as a checked piece of luggage without it getting damaged. The mattress is thicker and more comfortable than other travel cribs. And another nice feature is that there isn’t a bar running under the mattress like the pack-n-play making it miserable for the baby.

The only problem I’ve seen so far is that the mattress doesn’t come with a sheet. But those are easy to come by so it’s not really been a problem.

All in all it’s a fantastic travel bed and we are very glad we spent the money and got the best on the market.

I love this organic quilted pad. It’s so soft and fits really well on my organic cotton mattress. My daughter likes to sleep on my bed so this pad makes her crib feel softer (closer to what my bed feels). I like that it has just the right amount of padding, not too thick that I have to worry when my daughter rolls over and sleeps on her tummy.

I appreciate the idea of this product since I wanted to protect my son from limbs stuck between slats but preferred a breathable surface. However I was frustrated to discover that he was easily able to slide the bumper down. It didn’t keep him from getting his limbs stuck at all. A waste of $ in that respect. Now that he’s older I switched to a “standard” bumper and am much happier with that.

When I was pregnant and shopping for the nursery, I was torn between what type of bumper to buy. One one hand I liked the softness of the Carter’s brand bumper, but I liked the “breathable” bumper because my daughter was born in the beginning of summer and I wanted her to stay as cool as possible; so I bought the breathable bumper. When I put it on the crib, it looked very nice and while my daughter was little and imobile, it was very useful. As soon as she began to roll around, about 4 months, I would wake in the night to screams…her litttle arms and legs would get caught in the spacing of the crib, up and over the bumper! She would roll and turn while sleeping and apparently her limbs would lift over the bumper and the bumper would crumble under the light pressure of a babies arm. I have since bought the Carter’s brand bumper and I am happy. It stands up to her limbs and no more limbs get caught. Great idea, but bumper needs work.

I purchased this after reading all of the reviews on here, mainly due to the long play time, and the gradual shutting down of the crib soother. Apon reciept, the picture here does look much different than the item does in person, as far as the screen – but it doesn’t make me any less happy with the product.

One review complained about the volume, buy my soother does have 2 volume levels, and I think even the loud one, isn’t very loud. The quiet is perfect.

One review also complained about 2 units that stopped working. I have discovered why! When the batteries begin to fail, the until stops working in phases. All of a sudden the motion wouldn’t work on our unit. Because I had read the previous reviews, I initially thought my players was broken too because we still had light and music.

Then a few days later, the light would only work for about 5 minutes at a time, but we still had long periods of music. So I thought yep, its garbage. But then my husband said, well, lets just change the batteries.

And like new – the whole thing works again!!

So I’m guessing that the gradual systems stopping is meant to be an indicator that the batteries are wearing down. It doesn’t mean the unit is defective. I didn’t check it at first, because I thought they were new batteries – but it turns out my husband and just put in the ones from our old crib player.

So with this revelation, I can say I am perfectly happy with this player. I love the length of play, the gradual shut down and I really LOVE the remote function. I’m happy!

I’m usually a fan of Baby Einstein products, but this one was a disappointment. The biggest problem is that the admittedly cute and colorful creatures stopped “swimming” after only 2 months. Also, I found the background lighting to be too bright. My baby would often squint and turn away from the harsh light. I felt like I was forcing her to watch TV in her crib! I chose this soother because I like the gradual shutdown, the length of the playtime and the remote control. The first two features were nice; the remote control worked only sometimes even at short range. So, while this soother has some nice features, overall it was not worth the money.

I got this crib after lots of search on the internet.

The color is what I looked for: it’s not too dark brown, a little brighter than espresso in the picture.

And a design is very simple and it looks really really expensive. I love this.

The wood is sturdy and there is no scratch in any parts.

First time I got this crib from Amazon, I found that one part of crib was broken.

It was because of careless of delivery.

Anyway, I called Customer Service, and they directly sent me a new one. It took just a few days.

I strongly recommend this to everyone who’s looking for nice, sturdy, and gorgeous crib.

We are expecting in a few months, so this review addresses the crib’s quality and ease of assembly, not actual use yet. The crib arrived undamaged and was extremely simple to put together. It took less than an hour, and there were no problems with any of the parts. The wood actually looks even nicer than I had expected based on the customer pictures online. The color is not as dark as the manufacturer picture, but is still a very pretty espresso (not chocolate or black).

The best thing about this crib is the small “footprint.” We have a small nursery and were concerned about how big most cribs are. We want baby to be comfortable and safe, but we didn’t want an enormous crib that would dominate the room. We are very happy with the low profile of this crib. It fits perfectly, looks great, and seems of solid construction. Looking forward to using it soon!

This mattress pad is so much nicer than the one I am replacing. The quilting is so thick that you can’t feel the waterproof backing through it, and it doesn’t make a crunchy sound that is common with plastic backings. It’s all very soft on top, and has deep sides for a good fit.

These are my favorite – they are very soft and cotton-made, keep shape and easy to fold after wash, and stack better than the others (especially comparing to BabiesRUs brand – which are very firm and won’t stay on top of each if folded).
