This is a great affordable changing table. Most tables with any sort of drawers are much more expensive. While the drawers are made of canvas, they hold everything I need them to without a problem. We are short on storage space/drawer space and this has helped out a lot! We are able to store all diapers, wipes, current clothing, bedding, receiving blankets in this. It is perfect for what we need it for.

I have originally purchased this item for its sleek design and an affordable price. To start, assembling the unit was a frustrating experience for my husband, who is usually very handy, and this table seemed like it would be a piece of cake to put together, and it wasn’t. Also, even though the base of this changing table is wood, the shelves – including the top one where you’d lay the baby – are extremely thin.

Overall, nice design, but very poor quality. There are much better options out there, for about $[...] extra, which would be well worth it. I am disappointed and would not recommend this changing table.

I bought this changing table a little weary of the other reviews about it being flimsy….afterall – it is inexpensive. However, I thought it was an excellent purchase. For my first child, I had a Pottery Barn changing table almost identical to this one in white. And I can honestly say that the quality was the same. The actual table part where the baby goes is very sturdy and I felt comfortable testing my 30 pound three year old on it. It’s a great changing table, it looks just as it is in the picture, and it did not look or feel as cheap as the price tag by any means. With regard to assembly, my father put it together in 20 minutes with no glitches. An Excellent Purchase!!!

I love the look of this changing table – very simple and matches other honey oaks very well (even some honey pine we have). The shelves are more spacious than I thought they would be and fit very large baskets, which is nice since there’s no drawer. While the top shelf seems flimsy, the iron bar really does help stabilize it. I took off “stars” because the things you use to align the holes before drilling are plastic, not wood, and so they kept snapping which made assembly way more of a pain than it needed to be. It does fit standard sized changing pads (the one they give you is REALLY thin, not much of a pad at all), so that was good as well. Overall, I think we got what we paid for, and it was definitely worth the money.

It only took me about 15 minutes to put together and it looks great! I also purchased the baskets along with it and it fits perfect in my daughters room. For the price I am amazed how nice it is! Why bother spending 200+ When this one is perfect!

I don’t recommend putting it together by yourself 6 months pregnant but it can be done! I was determined. Once together I have to admit the quality was outstanding!! This is a table that I will keep for a second baby. It has an nice finish which wipes up nicely. Well worth the money. Just have someone else with you when you put it together or have them do it!!

When our son was born we had a Jenny Lind changing table (search for ASIN B000FTD1HA, the oak color) that had been given to us fully assembled but unused by the original owners. It wasn’t bad, but never impressed me as being very sturdy. Our son is a big kid (born 10 lbs 12.2oz!) and changing him sometimes turns into a wrestling match, until finally a few weeks ago the entire top shelf of the changing table collapsed! Wood split and splintered, no way to repair, utter disaster. Looked like the Titanic, after hitting the bottom of the Atlantic.

So, after a lot of research, visits to every store that carried anything that could even be adapted for use as a changing table, we finally found and settled on this particular one on Amazon. We needed something that could be used after he outgrew the need for a changing table, not to mention something sturdy enough to hold up to some wear and tear while he’s still being changed on it. But most of all, we had a very tight budget to work with. Most dresser-type changing tables seem to run well north of 0, pretty well out of our limited reach. Granted, this one isn’t quite a full dresser configuration, what with the pockets above the drawers, but it still seemed sturdy enough to fit the bill for today, and practical enough for his use when he gets older (we also have a full size separate dresser for his clothes).

As someone else pointed out, the packaging this is delivered in was pretty substantial and seemed well designed to protect it from having corners and ends crushed in shipping. And as someone else noted, there *are* a lot of parts in that box once you get it open. But the wooden parts are all numbered and marked, and the small parts (screws and nails and such) are pretty distinct and obvious in the instructions. The first few steps of assembly were a little time consuming finding various parts and pieces where I’d sorted them to, but after a little bit things started coming together nicely. I’m no expert at this stuff, but a little hammer and screwdriver work and some patience was all it took to follow the instructions to completion.

Fully assembled this is a very nice piece of furniture. It looks nice, the drawers (although small) track smoothly -unlike drawers for most dressers and such in this price range- and the height is great for tallish folks like my wife and I. My only worry, and the only real reason I took off a star, is that there’s a lot of particleboard here, which is worrisome for long-term durability. The top board seems to be solid wood though, and I’ll post updates here if the situation changes.

Overall though, this is a nice looking, easy to build, and practical changing table. You may be able to find better tables out there, but if you have a limited budget this seems to be the best deal around for your dollars.

Updated 4/02/10:

It’s been over a year since we got this changing table, and our son is now into potty training so it isn’t seeing nearly as much use as it was back then. It’s still in great shape though- the drawers still track smooth and true, the particleboard hasn’t split or shown any other signs of damage, and the paint is even still in good shape. Overall it’s held up excellently, and if we have another kid I expect it will continue to serve us well. My one and only complaint is that those pockets between the drawers and the table top make for really good footholds for our son to climb up, but honestly our kid is part mountain goat anyways, so I think he’d find something to work with regardless. All in all, this is still an excellent buy and absolutely worth a score upgrade to 5 stars.

This table came with lot of parts and the instructions were quite confusing. The bottom parts of the drawers are not sturdy at all. If you have to put a wind-up mobile, you’ve have to put at one of the ends and not in the middle part which is not flat. Also, there is no extra area (once you put in the changing pad on the changing table) to put a caddy with all the necessary stuffs for a diaper change…reaching under for each item is not convenience. However, the cuteness and the price is very attractive.

I put this item together myself in about an hour with no help and I’m 9 months pregnant. It probably would have gone by faster if i had a little help holding up the sides though. Anyway, i love this changing table. You will probably want to purchase a thicker changing pad but the one that comes with it works too. The drawers slide in and out easily (they’re made of cloth type material) and the hamper is very spacious. I hung a diaper depot thingy (i purchased separately) on the side that holds diapers and creams and things, which is very handy. It doesn’t take up a huge amount of space either.. .and unlike the previous review i read, there is no smell whatsoever to my changing table. It smelled “new” for about a day or so which wasn’t unpleasant at all. And i have a terribly sensitive nose, pregnant or not.

I rate this product 5 stars because it’s really cool, inexpensive, extremely useful… and stylish!

I read a lot of reviews about this and other such products, I have seen that mostly people who had had bad experiences would come to write a review, I decided to change it as I have been so pleased with this product and the merchant (baby age) that I definitely would like to give them both a 5 star rating. I am a software engineer and have very little exposure to assembling a furniture of this size, it was obviously not easy but luckily there were all the parts and all the screws and pictures that I needed, with little help from my wife I was able to put together this beautiful table in little less than 2 hours, so people with a little more experience would probably be get done in an hour or so. I read a review which stated that someone had to spend 6 hours to assemble this table, I think the key is not to apply your brains while assembling these devices and to rely on the pictures, it would make your life very easy, also the table is pretty stable, has a nice shine and once I wiped it clean it looks pretty good and I am pretty sure it would last many years and I probably would be able to resell it in two years time , I would highly recommend this product and seller both.

For the money, this was a very nice piece of furniture. This changing table is really beautiful once it is put together. It took quite a while to build, however, and was not the easiest construction I have ever undertaken. Also, now that my daughter is 9 months old she is already out-growing the table in terms of length– and she is only an average height girl. So if I were to do it over, I would probably sacrifice some of the beauty for a slightly longer and more functional table.

THIS CHANGING TABLE IS BEAUTIFUL AND MATCHED PERFECTLY WITH OUR CHERRY SLEIGH STYLE CRIB. NOT SURE WHAT THE OTHER PERSON IS TALKING ABOUT WITH THE SCREWS BUT THEY DO NOT COME LOOSE. THE SHELVES ARE THIN BUT IF YOU PURCHASE ANY OF THESE TYPE OF CHANGING TABLES THEY ALL HAVE THE SAME TYPE OF SHELVES. THIS IS OUR 2ND BABY AND THE 2ND CHANGING TABLE LIKE THIS STYLE AND WE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE FIRST ONE (IN FACT ITS STILL IN USE BY MY NIECE) AND WE HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THIS ONE. GREAT BUY FOR THE MONEY!

This product is a disaster and potentially very dangerous. The materials are cheap and several pieces were missing. Badger sent new pieces but when I assembled it, the tray bases were completely warped and the two pre-assembled end pieces fell apart. Spend a little more and buy something else. Your baby’s safety isn’t worth saving a few bucks.

I think this product looks better in the picture than it does in real life. It does the job though! It holds the baskets I bought for the shelves below and I can change my baby on it. I am just not thrilled with the way it looks. If I had it to do over again, I would probably get a more expensive changing table.
