Miracle Blanket – Baby Swaddling Blanket – Beige
At last, the perfect swaddle made easy!
Miracle Blanket earned the “thumbs up” from the Good Housekeeping Institute. Uses no velcro, zippers or other confusing adjustments that can scratch baby and one size fits all. New research shows the benefits of swaddling to calm baby and help ensure longer sleep but the Miracle Blanket makes it easy. It truly is amazing. The Miracle Blanket is made of the highest quality (and cozy) materials available and is stitched with great attention to detail. The Miracle Blanket helps baby sleep on his back to reduce SIDS concerns and clinical studies prove that proper swaddling can often eliminate colic symptoms. Yet most blankets do not provide for a secure swaddle and baby often manages to squirm loose. The Miracle Blanket is easy to use and keeps baby snug. Pediatrician recommended.
What are parents saying?
“I love this blanket! It has saved me countless hours of sleep and crying. I recommend it to all of my expecting friends in my playgroup.” — Sharon – MN
“I was at my wits end when I was introduced to the Miracle Blanket. The first night that I used the blanket, Makena slept four straight hours. By the third night of use she slept six straight hours. This blanket is a lifesaver!” Heather Brady – CA
What do the pros say?
“…Our more experienced maternity ward nurses were skeptical at first, but now even THEY are asking for more! The new parents ay it’s a Miracle!” Director of Women’s a Children’s Services at UCLA Medical Center
“We just put our one month old son down for the second night wrapped in The Miracle Blanket. He seems to love it. He slept six hours straight last night, followed by four hours straight after a quick feeding. You can’t complain about that at 1 month! My friend

Miracle Blanket – Baby Swaddling Blanket – Beige Reviews

I must admit that in the past I haven’t had the best luck with products containing “miracle” in their name. However, this blanket is the shining exception!
Our son was a very big boy — 10 lb, 6 oz of joy. We had read Harvey Karp’s “The Happiest Baby on the Block” (highly recommended) and we knew we wanted to swaddle him. We had planned to use a receiving blanket, but we quickly found out that none of them were remotely big enough. Not even close. We spent a ton of money buying bigger blankets, and we tried two other expensive swaddling blankets as well. Nothing worked, nothing held the baby, and all three of us were desperate to get some sleep. We even bought a cheap sheet set and tore it up to get some bigger patches of cloth. No dice.
Finally, I ordered this blanket online (Amazon didn’t carry it at the time, alas.) BINGO — our son slept through the night at once! Yes! We had to wake him from a sound, swaddled sleep to change and feed him; he went back down like a rock as soon as we re-swaddled him. He loved this blanket. When he saw us coming with it, he’d try to lie quietly with his arms in his sides in anticipation of the (very simple) process of swaddling him up. And I loved the fact that this blanket was so soft and comforting and had no snaps or any other fasteners that could rub him.
I should mention that the two new parents I gave this to as a shower gift were pathetically grateful, and couldn’t stop gushing. I understand; for a new parent, anything that grants you sleep is your favorite thing in the world.
A note to parents considering this blanket: Be prepared for some of your friends (especially the childless ones) to recoil in horror at the thought of swaddling. “You’re tying your baby up?” “What if he suffocates?” “But he won’t be able to move! It’s cruel!”, etc., etc. These people probably mean well, but their comments are very ignorant. The fact is, your baby has just spent months in the most confined space imaginable — a womb where he could barely budge at all. And new parents will immediately notice that newborn babies have virtually no control over their newly freed arms — they’ll startle themselves from sleep time and again, then start flailing their hands around and scratching their faces raw. Newborns don’t have the neurological control to stop themselves from flailing, so they love it when you return them to the safe, warm, familiar confinement they remember from the womb.
Another comment you’ll hear from some people is, “How do you know when the baby doesn’t need to be swaddled any more?” Easy. They start to wriggle out of the swaddling. They may not be able to talk, but they’ll let you know clearly when they’re ready to move on.

The Miracle Wrap is such a simple idea but it works wonders. I originally received a Swaddle Me wrap by Kiddopotamus as a gift and my son who was only 6 weeks old at the time would break out of it repeatedly so a friend recommended the Miracle Wrap. So far he has not been able to break out of this one and due to the ingenious design I know he never will. Be prepared for the fact that it looks a bit like a straightjacket. It has been the topic of many jokes in my family. But it works!

I received this blanket from some relatives for my baby shower. I took one look at it and thought they were crazy. There was no way my baby was going in that thing! When my son was about a month old, however, my husband and I were desperate for sleep, so we decided to give it a try. What a miracle! The other reviews have just about said it all as far as how wonderful it is, but I would like to add one thing. When he started to outgrow it, we loosened it a little bit at a time. I think this was very effective. We basically weaned him off of it so that it wasn’t so hard for him to fall asleep without it. Great product!

Our son has an especially strong startle reflex, and has to be swaddled to sleep, at all. At 2.5 weeks, he startled being able to get out of any swaddle we did, no matter how expertly done, no matter what blanket we used. So, at 1 hour of sleep, he’d start crying and we’d have to go in and start all over. We searched online for actual “Swaddling” blankets and based on reviews, chose this one. WHAT AN UTTER MIRACLE. We are in such debt to the dad who created this! Our son is now 12 weeks old, and we use this for each nap and for nighttime sleep. He was sleeping 6-7 hour stretches at 5 weeks, and slept 11 hours at 8 weeks. We would never have this success without this blanket. We’ve periodically tried to get him to sleep without it, but his reflex is STILL so strong that he needs it. It took a little “getting used to” the method to get him wrapped up, but in no time we both were experts. And the price on Amazon, with free shipping, is way better than what we paid directly through AMB. I wholeheartedly reccommend this to all parents, especially new parents.

Aden + Anais 100% Cotton Muslin Swaddle Wrap, Jungle Jam, 4 Pack Reviews

I love these blankets. They are thin and airy enough that I never worried about my son suffocating with them. If it is colder out, I just double them up.
The blankets are fabulous for spit up accidents. Most blankets are too small. Since these absorb so well and are large. Perfect for swaddling.
My son uses them as sleeping blankets and for security. The are also great to cover up your stroller when your baby is sleeping. Great for picnics and sun shades. Their size lets you be creative.

I have a set of these and give them as gifts for all my friends when I learn they are pregnant. They are my “can’t live without” item. They are an ideal size for swaddling and are perfect for all temperatures. I love them as does my daughter!

Miracle blanket – Yellow / Aqua Reviews

The Miracle Blanket is the fifth swaddling blanket we have tried; it is the only one from which our daughter cannot escape. It has an extra step for securing the arms that takes a little practice, but the extra step is what keeps her nice and snug so it is worth it. She still fusses in it some nights, but there are times when she really does calm down at the sight of it (this is a claim they make on the package and I was initially quite skeptical). She sleeps so much better when she is swaddled and does not have her flailing arms to wake her, so overall we are pleased. I am taking away one star because of the outrageous price for a piece of jersey cotton. Since I cannot sew though, I will grudgingly pay it.

I had lots of experience swaddling…the way Dr. Harvey Karp teaches you. And I HIGHLY recommend the practice. But when I used to swaddle with a regular (SwaddleMe and other) blanket, I would hear a muffled “mmmfff” sound in the middle of the night, and wake up horrified that my newborn had worked the blanket up over his head! I’m a pro swaddler – it was tight as an army-made bed, but Sam was a strong little cookie! I was worried he was going to suffocate, but didn’t want to abandon swaddling altogether, since it helped him fall asleep so well.
The Miracle Blanket (MB) was a GREAT solution for us, and I used it until Sam was five months old, and quite strong. He never worked the blanket up around his head, and he slept soundly through the night when swaddled with the MB. At five months, I ‘weaned him off’ swaddling by wrapping only one arm, leaving the other arm free, and leading his thumb to his mouth – this worked great, even though he hadn’t sucked his thumb before. Within a few weeks, we finished our swaddling days, and I only had to put the blanket in his hand, and he would automatically suck his thumb and fall asleep.
Now, at 12 months old, Sam is still a great sleeper. All I do is hand him a blanket, and he puts his thumb in his mouth and falls asleep. In the absence of a blanket, he never sucks his thumb, so I just make sure to leave the blankie in his bed.
I’m so thankful that I got an MB, as it relieved my worrying and helped Sam get a peaceful night’s sleep. I plan to buy more and use them exclusively with future babies.
P.S. It’s a highly controversial book, but I’ll go ahead and recommend On Becoming Babywise: Giving Your Infant The Gift of Nighttime Sleep. We had GREAT success with it – Sam slept through the night starting at 10 weeks, and he goes right to bed with no fussing, happy to be going to sleep. His naps are regular, and he gets a full 11 hours of sleep each night. Read the recommendations there, though: if you are (or could be) a ‘schedule person,’ you’ll love it.

Satsuma Designs Jersey Swaddling Blanket – Natural Reviews

Not only is this blanket a great swaddler, super soft, and antibacterial, but bamboo fabric helps to protect babies from the suns harmful rays. We used ours on a trip to Hawaii with our two week old and it worked beautifully. The jersey material is perfect for warmer temperatures and the velour blanket is especially warm and cozy when it’s colder. As others have said, it comes beautifully packaged and makes a great gift. Also check out the hats and changing table covers.

This blanket is everything you could want for baby: soft, great for swaddling, antibacterial, and attractive. I didn’t know about Satsuma when my girls were young, but now it’s my favorite gift to give new parents. It comes beautifully packaged and everyone loves them.
