I remember doing something like this when I was a kiddo and wanted to capture a memory of our newborn. This kit was so simple! The “dough” is ready-to-go in a foil pack and all you do is warm it up in your hands. Then you roll it out and smush the foot into it. The best part is if it doesn’t come out well you can do it over and over until you get one you like ) (Imagine with a squirmy infant this might take a few tries). It takes about six hours to dry on top – then you flip it over and it’s dry in 24 hours. Doesn’t leave any goo on your hands or make a mess. Lastly – there was enough dough to do the hand too and if your kiddo is a newborn they’ll both fit in the frame with no trouble.

I recently received this as a gift for the birth of my new daughter. I had purchased the keepsake box for my other daughter and was so happy with the results that I was excited get another one. I followed all the directions and was able to easily make an impression of my newborn’s foot. Well, as it was drying my 2 year old found it and broke it into a gazillion pieces. I was devastated and thought I would have to buy an entire new kit. I decided to give customer service a shot to see if i could buy replacement clay and was told that they would send replacement clay out to me immediately, FREE OF CHARGE!!! Can you believe it!!! This is a great product and true to the description if you buy the white frame version. I purchased the mahogany one. Mine says right on the box that it comes with a blue/ pink mat and a hanger. It has neither, it came with a green mat and can only stand on a table, not be hung on the wall. I called the company and they were very nice and sent me out a whole white frame, this came with the hanger and a blue/ pink mat. It didn’t seem like from my conversation that they were going to change this, but were aware of the problem. If you don’t mind a green mat and no hanger get the mahogany one, if you want a gender specific mat, get the white, or something else.

The set is very attractive.

However, it is NOT 100% cotton as listed. The sheet is cotton, as is the back of the comforter, and the back of the crib bumper. The front/top of the comforter and bumper as well as the rest of the set are nylon or polyester. The bib cloth is cotton, but the binding and ties (no velcro, infortunately) are a polyester & cotton blend.

This crib set is much nicer than I expected. My daughter picked it out and I gave as gift. We were both pleased as the colors are much brighter than the picture indicates. The only drawback is that the ties aren’t spaced for a standard crib, so it doesn’t exactly fit the crib corner to corner.

It is very difficult to find a soft baby photo album that holds more than 6 pictures. This one holds 12 which gives my 1 year old the opportunity to have her own pictures of everyone in the family! The pictures are well protected, though it is easy to bend them. I would have liked the album to be a little bit stiffer, but then I guess it wouldn’t be suitable for young babies. I would definitely recommend this product!

Baby Einstein Great Barrier Reef Soother Reviews

I purchased this after reading all of the reviews on here, mainly due to the long play time, and the gradual shutting down of the crib soother. Apon reciept, the picture here does look much different than the item does in person, as far as the screen – but it doesn’t make me any less happy with the product.

One review complained about the volume, buy my soother does have 2 volume levels, and I think even the loud one, isn’t very loud. The quiet is perfect.

One review also complained about 2 units that stopped working. I have discovered why! When the batteries begin to fail, the until stops working in phases. All of a sudden the motion wouldn’t work on our unit. Because I had read the previous reviews, I initially thought my players was broken too because we still had light and music.

Then a few days later, the light would only work for about 5 minutes at a time, but we still had long periods of music. So I thought yep, its garbage. But then my husband said, well, lets just change the batteries.

And like new – the whole thing works again!!

So I’m guessing that the gradual systems stopping is meant to be an indicator that the batteries are wearing down. It doesn’t mean the unit is defective. I didn’t check it at first, because I thought they were new batteries – but it turns out my husband and just put in the ones from our old crib player.

So with this revelation, I can say I am perfectly happy with this player. I love the length of play, the gradual shut down and I really LOVE the remote function. I’m happy!

I’m usually a fan of Baby Einstein products, but this one was a disappointment. The biggest problem is that the admittedly cute and colorful creatures stopped “swimming” after only 2 months. Also, I found the background lighting to be too bright. My baby would often squint and turn away from the harsh light. I felt like I was forcing her to watch TV in her crib! I chose this soother because I like the gradual shutdown, the length of the playtime and the remote control. The first two features were nice; the remote control worked only sometimes even at short range. So, while this soother has some nice features, overall it was not worth the money.
